NAVY

For more than 30 years, Svekon has supported the Swedish national defence industry, the Swedish defence materiel administration and armed forces with technical support and equipment deliveries in the field of the naval arena.

The Naval Arena covers all of the systems that the Navy uses at sea, such as ships and boats, but also weapons systems. The armed forces are engaged in international missions with their ships, which is something that puts great demands on the function, availability and quality of their vessels.

COMPETENT TEAMS

With our skilled teams, we are able, for instance, to carry out studies, develop prototypes, modify, deliver and assemble the equipment for military ships and boats with respect to role-specific fittings, weapons supplies and medical equipment.

PROCUREMENTS COMPETENCE

Experience from public procurements is a great help. FMV, who are the contracting authority for defence, often list specific and complex requirements in their procurement documents. After many years’ experience of working with the FMV and the Swedish Defence industry, we know how to respond to these requests, which gives us a great advantage when it comes to procurements in general.

COMPLETE BRIDGE DECK FOR HMS TROSSÖ

Design missions for the Swedish Defence Material Administration and the defence industry often involve redesigning or additional designs of various types. The mission is based on a very clear functional requirement, for example to produce a complete control panel for the Bridge Deck of one of the Navy ships, HMS Trossö, a design which must remain fully operational even if the ship were to sail under the most demanding conditions. We develop a specification of what the system will accomplish, subsequently manufacture, test and deliver before compiling a complete technical file for the system. We validate and verify consistency according to set requirements.
