Svekon has relocated its operations in Borlänge from Borganäsvägen to a new, larger facility on Teknikergatan. The move marks an important step in the company’s continued growth and strengthens its capabilities in development, production, and delivery for the defence industry.
The new facility is a modern industrial site that brings together offices, production areas, warehousing, practical development workshops, and dedicated test and verification facilities under one roof. By consolidating multiple disciplines in a single environment, Svekon creates better conditions for efficient collaboration, faster development processes, and increased delivery capacity.
This investment forms part of Svekon’s long-term commitment to strengthening Sweden’s defence supply capability and supporting the implementation of Sweden’s Defence Industry Strategy.
“The move to Teknikergatan is a natural step in our development. The new facility provides us with greater opportunities to grow, further develop our operations, and meet the increasing demand from both customers and partners within the defence industry.”
– Johan Lantz, CEO, Svekon
The new facility enhances Svekon’s ability to manage complex development and system integration projects while creating efficient workflows between engineering, testing, production, and final delivery.
Through this investment, Svekon continues to strengthen its expertise, capacity, and infrastructure, reinforcing the company’s role as a flexible and long-term partner to the Swedish defence industry.
“It is both exciting and rewarding to be part of building something new that makes a real difference. These new facilities give us entirely new opportunities to bring together expertise, development, and production in a way that strengthens both our own operations and Sweden’s long-term defence supply capability.”
